  • Day 01
    Day 01    Nairobi, Kenya

  • Day 02
    Day 02    Samburu

    On this day you will depart early in the morning by 6:30am to Samburu National Reserve dropping at an altitude of 2,500m to around 1000m, you will see the difference of the vegetation from the lush green to Semi arid area. You will arrive in good time for lunch and thereafter, you will do an afternoon game drive. Note some of the animals you get to see in this reserve can only be seen here known as the North frontier district in East & Central Africa.   • Day 03
    Day 03    Samburu

    Early morning game drive at 0630hours, morning drives are quite exiting as this is when it is possible to get the big cats still in their active mood. We go back for breakfast at 0830-0930hours. Mid-morning we will take a walk to get the feel of nature and see the birdlife and the euphoria that surrounds the environment around the lodge or you can relax by the pool. Later after lunch, an afternoon game drive then back to the lodge at 1830hours for evening relaxation. Dinner and overnight Ashnil Samburu Camp.

  • Day 04
    Day 04    Lake Nakuru

    We depart at 0700 hours to L. Nakuru National Park, we climb to a higher altitude driving past Solio ranch to Nyahururu which happens to be the highest town in Kenya at 2100m. We will stop at the Thomson Falls which was discovered by the Scottish geologist Thomson in 1861 when he was on an expedition to discover the Great Rift Valley. We proceed with our trip arriving in time for lunch later we go for an afternoon game drive. Dinner & Overnight at Flamingo Hill. http://www.flamingohillcamp.com/

  • Day 05
    Day 05    Maasai Mara

    Depart after breakfast and drive south via Narok to the Mara reserve, you will be arriving in good time for lunch. After lunch, you will go for a brief afternoon game drive. Masai Mara has incredible wide-open landscapes and fertile riverine woodland following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers. Wherever you go in the Mara you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos also exist in great numbers. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal, or surveying the plains for their next meal.   • Day 06
    Day 06    Maasai Mara

    Early morning game drive at 0700hours, later we break for breakfast and on this day you will delve into morning and afternoon game drives with a break for lunch to experience the vast savannah, full of plains and wildlife. The Mara is well known for its annual migration which occurs in the months of August-September. This is not the only attraction as there are other animals mainly the big cats featured in the TV series “Big Cat Diary”. Later drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight Ashnil Mara Camp.

  • Day 07
    Day 07    Maasai Mara

    As the highlight of the safari, you can do a hot air balloon and get to see the Mara from a bird’s eye view, on landing you will be served with champagne breakfast and after be driven back to the hotel and you will see game on your way. Mid-morning rest; lunch and later afternoon game drive. In the evening drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight Ashnil Mara Camp. http://www.ashnilhotels.com/masaimara/index.asp

  • Day 08
    Day 08    Naivasha

    Depart in the morning after breakfast headed back to Lake Naivasha. This will serve as a break for our next destination since going from Masai Mara to Amboseli is quite a distance and having children also this will not be advisable. Lake Naivasha will not only serve as a break but it there is also a difference in the sense that you will delve into a boat ride to Crescent Island where you can do nature walk. This will be something of a difference given that you will be watching game while on foot.   • Africa Calling Safaris may at its discretion by not less than two months notice in writing to the client alter the specified rates as result of new publicized rates from suppliers (Hotels, parks).
